The JUHLL AI Film Production Workflow
A human-directed, AI-powered production system that takes your film from brief and story development through generation, editorial, finishing, delivery, and performance. Seven phases a client can read in ten seconds. Fifteen steps a producer can read in five minutes. The same system whether the job is a 30-second spot, a series trailer, or an episodic engine built to keep running.
Brief through Delivery is the engagement a client experiences. Performance closes the loop, so what an audience actually did shapes the next brief.
Goals, audience, platforms, and the metric that matters.
Story, script, and tone on paper before anything is generated.
Characters, world, and voices locked as the source of truth.
Directed generation, shot by shot, with editorial running alongside.
Image finish, music and sound, final QC.
Platform-native masters, archived for the next episode.
Results measured against the brief and fed back in.
JUHLL combines AI-powered production with human creative direction throughout the process. Key creative decisions are reviewed and approved before the work advances, keeping story, performance, character continuity, visual quality, and brand standards under human control.
Each phase is a chapter. The steps inside it are what JUHLL’s production system actually does, in order, with the approval gate marked where the work waits for a human yes.
What the client experiences first. Everything downstream is measured against this.

Define the stakeholders, the film or series, the creative and business objectives, the success and performance metrics, the audience, platforms, technical specifications, budget parameters, deliverables, timeline, and the review, approval, and release process.
Identify the brand, talent, likeness, copyright, disclosure, and usage rights that govern the production before it starts.
✓ Brief approvedStory, script, and tone on paper before a single frame is generated.

Develop the concept, treatment, scripts or episodes, tone, story beats, scene structure, storyboard and shot list, character direction, locations and environments, cinematography, camera movement, pacing, lighting, and color direction.
The JUHLL Production Bible becomes the creative source of truth for everything that follows.
✓ Script & bible approvedCharacters, world, and voices locked as the single source of truth for consistency.

Establish character designs and casting references, wardrobe, hair and makeup, props, locations, environments, lighting, and the overall visual language.
Build character sheets, expression and pose references, environment references, and hero keyframes so every shot, angle, expression, scene, and episode belongs to the same world. Select voices and set character voice direction.
✓ Look & cast approvedDirected generation under the Production Bible, with editorial running alongside instead of after.

Set the project architecture: asset organization, naming conventions, version control, shot numbering, reference libraries, prompt templates, reference boards, node-based generation workflows, model selection, metadata, backups, and approval and status tracking.
Source assets, generations, selects, audio, project files, and deliverables stay organized and traceable for the life of the production.
Test the difficult characters, environments, camera moves, interactions, and hero shots before committing to full production.
Confirm the selected models and workflows can hit the required look, continuity, motion, and performance, and refine the approach where they cannot.
Record or generate the approved dialogue and character voices, often before video so performance leads the picture. Direct delivery, emotion, and timing, and prepare audio that can drive video generation, character performance, and lip synchronization.
Create shot-level reference frames that lock composition, character placement, expression, framing, lighting, lens and camera perspective, environment, and continuity before any shot is committed to motion.
✓ Keyframes approvedRun initial test generations at lower resolution where appropriate to validate motion, character performance, camera direction, prompt behavior, and quality while controlling generation cost.
Once a shot is approved, choose the production path: generate at 1080p for upscaling, or natively at 2K or 4K where the model and the deliverable call for it. Direct shot by shot against the Production Bible and references, holding character, performance, framing, camera, pacing, lighting, and environment consistent.
✓ Shots approvedAssemble selects into scenes and sequences early, rather than waiting for every shot to be final, and judge story, performance, continuity, and pacing in context.
Regenerate, extend, replace, or revise individual shots on editor, creative director, client, or showrunner notes. Version control keeps iteration fast without losing approved work or drifting from the locked cast, environments, and visual language.
✓ Edit approvedCorrect generation artifacts, composites, character inconsistencies, faces and hands, wardrobe and prop issues, backgrounds, unwanted elements, framing, transitions, and continuity problems.
Complete stabilization, masking, tracking, compositing, and other shot-level fixes. Every pass is reviewed by a person against the approved references and the Production Bible.
Image finish, music and sound, and a final QC pass by hand.

Apply upscaling, restoration, sharpening, denoising, frame repair, and other image enhancement to bring approved generations to final production resolution and quality.
Develop score, ambience, Foley, sound effects, transitions, and the rest of the sonic layer around the locking edit. Balance dialogue, music, ambience, and effects to serve story, pacing, and emotional direction.
Complete final editorial, compositing, lip-sync refinement, color correction and grading, audio mix, titles, graphics, captions, and polish.
Human QC covers visual artifacts, character and environmental continuity, audio sync, spelling, technical specifications, rights requirements, and platform requirements before final approval.
✓ Final master approvedPlatform-native masters, packaged so the next episode starts where this one ended.

Produce platform-native masters and required versions: 4K, 2K and 1080p, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, cutdowns, captions, thumbnails, and campaign or distribution assets.
Package and archive approved masters, source assets, project files, references, prompts and workflows, voices, and production documentation, so the project can be revised, localized, extended, or continued into future episodes without starting over.
For performance-driven work, the master is not the end of the thinking. What the audience did becomes the next brief.

Distribute across the right platforms and evaluate results against the goals and KPIs set in the brief.
Capture the creative and audience learnings and feed them back into subsequent versions, episodes, campaigns, and productions. The loop closes where it opened.
The JUHLL stack evolves continuously as new models and production technologies emerge. Tools are selected according to the creative and technical requirements of each project and individual shot.
Midjourney, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream, FLUX, GPT image models, and other current image-generation systems.
Seedance, Kling, MiniMax, and other current video-generation models.
Higgsfield, Magnific, and other multi-model or specialized AI production environments.
Selected according to performance, licensing, character, music, sound design, and production requirements.
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and other specialized editorial, compositing, color, audio, and finishing tools.
